MOVING HAITI FORWARD
Haiti is home and will always be close to my heart. As a Haitian American, I am committed to working and investing in Haiti for the rest of my life.
Our short-term goal is to provide medical assistance to the remote communities of Haiti, where there is limited to no access to proper medical and dental care. These communities are still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew and the 2010 earthquake.
Our long-term vision is to establish a facility that will serve as a community center and health clinic where access to basic medical, dental services are limited. The community center will operate as a youth development center to no only care for the well-being of the children but to incubate the next generation of Haiti’s future leaders, who will ultimately Move Haiti Forward.
SOUTHERN AFRICA
In March 2019, I moved to Johannesburg, South Africa. This beautiful country and all its history intrigued me. I am on a personal learning journey as I seek to make a global impact not only in Haiti but around the world. It was important for me to not only talk to the talk, but walk the walk. I transitioned from my job and stepped way out of my comfort zone. In short, I hit the reset button on my life.
This move has allowed me to expand my work to Zambia and Zimbabwe to impact tourism to Southern Africa in a more equitable and responsible way.
DEVELOPING GLOBAL RESPONDERS
For almost 5 years, I had the privilege of serving at a charter school in DC, whose aim is to develop global scholars ready to “respond and take action” in their community and around the world. Cultivating the next generation of social philanthropists is a deep passion of mine. Especially, among people of color, who are grossly underrepresented or acknowledged in the philanthropic space.
It is my aim to continue to raise awareness about the importance of cultivating and showcasing the philanthropic response in every day people. There are so many Faces to Philanthropy and I seek to find, collaborate with, and highlight them.
